Long story short. I bought Windows Vista thinking that my computer would run it. Turns out, it doesn’t. It erased my hard drive and i had to get that fixed. The store won’t let me return it either. Basically $300 down the drain. None of my friends want it. What should I do with it?

Using the Window Vista, can I still run computer games designed for Windows 98 and XP, or would I have to rebuy everything for the Vista? Also, just a quick extra question, does anyone know a good laptop that uses XP that is fast, great memory size, and still under $900? Thanks!

I am thinking about buying a new computer with Windows Vista installed on it, however, all of my current software and hardware on my current computer is installed in XP. Is it still possible to use programs and hardware on my current machine on a Vista machine? How compatible is XP with Vista?

My uncle is visiting from Medellin and he has a Toshiba laptop running Windows Vista Home Premium. He asked me to connect his laptop to our wireless network, which is protected with a WEP key, and also has a security feature where a computer can only connect if the MAC Address is in the allowed list. My problem is this: I can’t find the MAC Address on Vista. How do I do it?
