I recently bought a new laptop which has windows vista. I then bought final fantasy xi so i would have something to play on it. I installed the disk and it said something about not being able to run on this operating system. I then found out from game store that i needed to download the vista patch from offline. I unistalled the game and I installed the patch and at first i thought it worked. It let me set up an account and pay to play online. Then when i pressed play it said i needed to install the game first. I put the disk back in and it said i already have a version of this downloaded. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled several times and cant figure it out. Game store said they could do it for thirty bucks and i don’t think it is worth it.
