Why does it take about a half to a whole second for windows vista to recognize my commands w/ mouse/keyboard?

Basically when i am using this computer, which is running windows vista, any command i make with my keyboard and mouse takes a second to register with my computer. I know that this is not the fault of the keyboard and mouse i am using because i have used them on different computers and they perform fine. I have heard plenty of bad things about windows vista, but i havent heard anything about this. I would love to know if there is any way i can fix this because i play World of Warcraft and even half a second makes a huge difference in my gameplay. Thanks for you help!

I have windows Vista and I need to find out whether or not i have a Turner card. I don’t know anything about ” VISTA”. I know that they say that you can watch live tv and record the tv but I don’t know how. If anyone has a website that would be helpful or can even explain it a little to me would be very helpful.

Well they are toolbars at the bottom of Windows Vista computers or Macintosh computers. When you hover your mouse at the very bottom, a small toolbar appears with items that are in your computer. What are they called? And what are they called in Google Desktop? I want to download it so bad.
