I just bought a new laptop a week ago and I am trying to install my printer. The computer did not come with any windows vista disc or set up discs. Everything was pre-installed. The computer keeps saying I do not have any administrator rights? It’s a nice printer and I don’t want to give it up just because of stupid windows vista. Does anyone know how to get the administrator rights?

just go tocontrol panel>accounts>change my account type.
if you want to run something as an admin, right click on the icon and click ‘run as administrator’
Hi,
Actually you can install the printer drivers by running the program as administrator.
Or you can unhide the administrator account.
You can go to Accessories > Command Prompt > Run AS Administrator
You should get the command prompt
Type in Net user administrator /active:yes
Restart the computer and you should have your administrator account activated.
Hope it helps.
